River City Condo Deconversion Begins Leasing

Leasing has begun for newly-renovated units at River City Apartments, a condominium deconversion in the South Loop that’s reportedly the largest of its kind in the Chicago area.

The 447-unit property’s new owners, including Elliott, the Wolcott Group, Ruttenberg-Gordon Investments and Marc Realty Residential, closed on their acquisition this past December after nearly three years’ work on the deal.

“New residents can begin moving in now,” said Aaron Galvin, CEO of Luxury Living Chicago Realty, the brokerage overseeing marketing and leasing. “The South Loop continues to gain renter interest, and these apartments offer competitive pricing while providing renters a thoughtfully renovated unit in an iconic building. The building updates, paired with easy access to the Loop, public transportation and cultural attractions, make this a great option.”

Floor plans include studios, one and three-bedroom units. Monthly rents will range from $1,495 for studios to $3,595 for three bedrooms.
