Niles Apartments Trade After 40-Year Hold

Essex Realty has brokered the sale of 8401-8407 Dempster St., a 21-unit, California-style apartment building in Niles, IL. Buyer and seller in the $2.2-million transaction were not disclosed.

The firm’s Matt Welke and Matt Feo represented the seller and Brian Kochendorfer, Brian Karmowski, and Troy Beebe advised the buyer. In all, Essex generated over 25 property tours and 10 competitive offers within one week of marketing.

The well-maintained building has been owned by the same family for over 40 years. It contains a mix of 17 one-bedroom and four two-bedroom units, and is conveniently located near both mass transit and major highways.
