Bush Temple Project Reaches Second Phase

The second phase of Cedar Street’s Bush Temple of Music project is now complete with a new 129-apartment, 16-story tower. The owner/developer’s tallest ground-up project to date, it connects to the historic French-Chateauesque building which was awarded by the City of Chicago for preservation excellence in 2017.

“It was a pleasure helping write this new-meets-old story,” said Tim Grimms, senior project manager for Cedar Street.  “We were often challenged as to whether we really wanted studios on the penthouse level and whether the units were too small, but the final product definitely showcases what we do well as a developer.”

The project represents Cedar Street’s initial foray into micro-apartments—defined by the Urban Land Institute as 350 square feet or smaller. Altogether, the Bush Temple offers 230 apartments with studios averaging 350 square feet and one-bedrooms averaging 500 square feet, all with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Connect Industrial Midwest is coming to Rosemont, IL on March 4. For more information, or to register, click here.
