32-Year DRI Veteran Blair Joins Sterling Bay

After 32 years with Development Resources Inc., Howard Blair (pictured), the self-described “construction guy in a suit,” has joined Sterling Bay as director of construction. He’ll oversee development and re-development projects in Sterling Bay’s growing real estate portfolio.

“Howard is the guy everyone wants on their team for marquee assignments,” said Sterling Bay Managing Principal Andy Gloor. “With him on board, clients know the job will be done right.”

For his part, Blair said he admired Sterling Bay’s ability “to adapt and conquer what’s in front of them, and to see the upside when no one else can.”

During his time with DRI, Blair oversaw the development of hundreds of properties across all asset types, including many new headquarters. Most recently, as project manager for CNA, he oversaw the completion of the insurer’s headquarters build out and subsequent move-in at 151 N. Franklin, which was delivered a month ago.
