Guidewire Software Inks 189K-SF Bay Meadows Deal
Guidewire Software is taking 189,000 square feet at Wilson Meany’s Bay Meadows Station 2 in San Mateo. The maker of software for property and casualty insurance companies signed a lease to take the entire four-story, L-shaped office building at 2850 S. Delaware St.
The company will be relocating its headquarters from 1001 E. Hillsdale Blvd. in Foster City once the under construction San Mateo building is ready for occupancy by the end of 2018. Station 2 is the third commercial building at the San Francisco Peninsula development that includes five ultra-contemporary, technology-driven buildings totaling 763,000 square feet of office space.
A former horse race track, Bay Meadows is a transit-oriented development along the Caltrain line. Wilson Meany and Stockbridge Capital are developing the 83-acre Phase 2 that will include roughly 1,100 housing units, 93,000 square feet of retail space, 18 acres of parks and open space and a private high school.
