Colliers Completes Pair of Chino Transactions
EMD Logistics acquired a 100,000-square-foot facility in Chino, CA from Monte Vista Partners for $13.1 million. Colliers International’s Richard Schwartz represented the seller, a private Manhattan Beach, CA-based investment group. Kotai Commercial’s David Lin represented the buyer.
The regional logistics firm is locating its warehouse (pictured above) in the west San Bernardino County city because of its proximity to the SoCal consumer markets. EMD, which handles all types of electronics, is seeking to meet demand from retailers who are competing to offer “same-day” or “next-day” delivery of online purchases by consumers and businesses.
In a second lease transaction, JL Furnishings signed a five-year deal at a new, state-of-the-art 103,014-square-foot manufacturing facility in Chino. The freestanding property is located at 15780 El Prado. Schwartz and Joey Reaume represented both parties to the $4 million transaction.
JL Furnishings plans to use the facility for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution of custom furniture for the hotel, hospitality and institutional industries.
