100-Yr.-Old Landmark Long Beach Hotel Set for Revitalization
Pacific6, with the assistance of AEI Consultants, is transforming the two oldest buildings in Long Beach, CA into an independent boutique hotel featuring modern amenities and an apartment community. Detailed architectural, design, and construction planning is underway for the restoration of The Breakers, a 100-year-old landmark hotel at 210 East Ocean Blvd., as well as the adjacent Ocean Center, an historic office building at 110 West Ocean Blvd. that’s being converted into an apartment community.
Pacific6’s John Molina says, “The renovation of The Breakers is a complex and demanding project, requiring thoughtful consideration for its historical preservation and the ability to enable it to function successfully as a modern-day hotel.”
Plans include renovation of the renowned Sky Room fine-dining restaurant, an open-air roof terrace, full-service luxury spa and intimate jazz club. Pacific6 recently secured planning commission approval to begin construction, and the project is scheduled for completion in early 2021.
