Callahan Construction Starts Work on 195-Unit Waltham MF Property

Callahan Construction Managers has started construction on Broadstone Watch City, a 195-unit multifamily community in Waltham, MASS. The project is owned by Alliance Residential Co. in partnership with The Carlyle Group, and is being designed by CUBE 3 Studio.

The 348,936 square-foot development will include 3 levels of post tensioned concrete with 5 levels of wood framing above. Additionally, 49 units at the community have been designated for affordable housing. The building will also include 293 parking spaces, an outdoor pool in the courtyard, lobby, resident lounges, conference room, offices, fitness studio, and a viewing room.

“The project design is a nod to the industrial history of the immediate area, the building includes brick and weathered steel siding and an innovative interior design that references the clock and watch industry that Waltham is famous for,” said Luke Beck, project lead at CUBE 3. “In addition to expected luxury amenities, the project includes a dedicated commuter lounge, spa-like courtyard area, and integrated bike storage and pet grooming.”
