2021 loan volume nearly triple that of 2020
Tremont Realty Capital is the commercial real estate finance division of The RMR Group LLC. Tremont, an SEC registered investment adviser subsidiary of The RMR Group LLC, manages Seven Hills Realty Trust a real estate finance company focusing on originating and investing in first mortgage loans secured by middle-market and transitional commercial real estate.
Tremont’s current team includes five originations professionals: Tom Lorenzini, Vice President; David Ross, Managing Director; Dennis Walsh, Managing Director; Saurabh Mahajan, Senior Director and Duncan Satherlie, Director.
In 2021, Tremont originated over $450 million in first mortgage bridge loans across seventeen transactions Tremont’s loan volume in 2021 was nearly triple its volume in 2020, with financing secured for office, multifamily, manufactured housing, industrial, retail and student housing.
Highlights for the year including a $54.6-million refinance loan for two manufactured housing communities totaling 1,200 homesites in the Cleveland, OH metro; a $34.3-million loan to refinance a 191,181-square foot office building and 97,094-square-foot industrial warehouse in Colorado Springs, CO; $16.5 million in acquisition financing for City Center Crossing in Atlanta, GA; and a $21-million loan for acquisition of a Bellevue, WA-situated 72,000-square-foot office building.
