Red Oak Capital Holdings Team

Red Oak Capital Holdings is a group of commercial real estate capital entities that lends and invests on commercial real estate, raising capital through retail and institutional channels. Led by Gary Bechtel, the Michigan-based national bridge lender operates in the small-balance sheet space, building the right platform for investors and providing capital for borrowers with the best business plans.

In a span of just a few years, Red Oak has built a $300-million in AUM platform and nearly $1 billion in funding capacity. The company also recently launched Oak Institutional Credit Solutions, a new $500-million private real estate financing investment fund created specifically to serve the foundation and endowment investor class. The fund so far has amassed $70 million in commitments from institutional investors already.

Additionally, Red Oak formed an affiliate, Oak Real Estate Partners, a national fund manager focused on the institutional investment sector and launched its first investment vehicle fund to meet demand from institutional investors.

Red Oak’s veteran team offers 130 years of commercial real estate lending, servicing, workout, and turnaround experience and has originated, underwritten, and closed and exited more than $5 billion in financings over the past 10 years.

Red Oak supports ESG efforts, lending to sponsors who are also focused on delivering affordable housing to meet soaring demand in markets around the country.
