American Street Capital is a national commercial mortgage banking firm with extensive corresponding lending relationships. The team of Igor Zhizhin, Alexander F. Rek and James R. Bogard closed on 44 deals in 2021, totaling more than $172.8 million in deal volume.

Transaction highlights included $17.3 million in bridge acquisition financing for a distressed, extensive deferred-maintenance apartment complex in Jonesboro, GA. Other deals included a $14.3-million cash-out refinance (CMBS) for a multifamily property in Macomb, IL; another cash-out/refi (for $12 million) for a mixed-use asset in Chicago; and an $11.4-million refinance of a problem loan with a defunct lender involving a multifamily, value-add property in Alsip, IL.
