Arranged acquisition financing for first-time cross-border investor
The Berkadia Boston Mortgage Banking team is comprised of Ryan Nelson, Laura Beaton, Anthony Golebiewski, Sean Daly and Phil Noto, consisting of 75 years of combined commercial real estate experience.
In 2021, the Berkadia Mortgage Banking team completed over 54 transactions totaling nearly $1 billion in loan volume. Notable transactions included acquisition financing on behalf of an international client who was buying in the U.S. for the first time. The client acquired a multifamily building in Boston’s North End.
Other deals included acquisition financing on a partially completed mill conversion to mixed use in Southern Maine and acquisition financing of a 1,100-plus-unit multifamily portfolio through execution of Freddie Mac’s Social Bond program. The property was purchased by a woman-owned investment group with a focus on ESG initiatives.
