Secures debt and equity financing for an array of property types

Previously served in both institutional equity and fixed-income sales

Tim Kinney joined the Atlanta office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) in August 2006. As a Vice President Capital Markets with MMCC with more than 20 years of commercial real estate finance experience, he secures debt and equity financing for an array of property types including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, self-storage, senior housing and hospitality. In 2021, Kinney closed 10 transactions worth $33,384,936 combined.

Prior to joining MMCC, Kinney served in both institutional equity and fixed-income sales at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and Montgomery Securities. He was also a vice president at BMC Capital. 

Notable 2021 transactions included a cash-out refinance for a Charles Schwab property and Starbucks; the developer client used the funds to buy an island off the coast of Georgia. Kinney also secured financing on a retail center that was part of a 1031 Exchange. Both deals combined totaled $16.8 million.
