Berkadia’s Atlanta team completed 90 transactions in 2021; the bulk of the deals focused on financing for existing assets requiring significant capital upgrades. The capital that Berkadia provided enabled the sponsors to substantially invest in the assets, which will provide clean and upgraded housing to the tenants in the area.

The greatest challenge of 2021 was managing volume through a time period when all parts of the industry were operating at full capacity. This took a great deal of forethought and on-the-fly management by the full team to meet deadlines.
